Every month, our community makes so many delicious recipes, it’s such a pleasure to share them. This month we have everything from warming chia porridge, a watermelon slushie, and even a smoothie featuring cauliflower! Here’s our September round up, just in time for that sweet spring feeling.
Pom Pom Wilderness’ Chai Cocoa Smoothie
First up we have Ella’s super yummy blend of cocoa and spices, it’s a delicious start to the day.
Ingredients:
1-2 tsp cocoa powder
Pinch of cinnamon
Tiny pinch of ground ginger
Pinch of cardamom
Pinch of ground cloves
1 tsp of maple syrup
2-3 frozen bananas
1 cup of Cocobella Straight Up coconut water
Optional (but recommended) splash of plant based milk
Recommended toppings:
Weetbix
Granola
Oats
Rose petals and lavender
Mix spices in a little bowl. In a blender, blend the coconut water, milk, bananas and maple syrup. Once blended, add the dry spices then blend again and add toppings.
Aumanro’s Acai Smoothie Bowl
This one’s a classic! Acai is a favourite addition to smoothies, it’s complementary to coconut water, and (we think) very photogenic!
Ingredients:
5 frozen bananas
1 cup Cocobella Straight Up coconut water
1 cup frozen raspberries
2 packs frozen açaí purée
Method:
Blend and serve with your favourite toppings.
Nomadic Fit Foodie’s Vanilla, Chia Seed Porridge
This is an easy recipe from Monika, that will keep you energized for the morning.
Ingredients:
1 cups oat and chia blend
2 cups almond milk
1 cup Cocobella Straight Up coconut water
1 tsp vanilla extract
Method:
Simply add all the ingredients in a saucepan and cook over a low heat until the oats thicken up. Once it’s ready, serve immediately whilst it’s warm with your favourite toppings.
Thriving On Plants’ Watermelon Slushie
Just in time for the weather warming up, time to rethink the classic morning smoothie with a slushie!
Ingredients:
Frozen Watermelon chunks
Cocobella Straight Up coconut water
1 lime
Sweetener (if desired)
Method:
Simply process frozen watermelon chunks (or alternately, fresh watermelon + ice cubes), a splash of Cocobella Straight Up coconut water, the juice of 1 lime, and 1 tbsp sweetener if desired.
Healthy Fran’s Cacao Espresso Smoothie bowl
We are loving this cacao espresso smoothie bowl by Fran. This one surprisingly incorporates cauliflower, a great way to sneak some extra Vitamin C in your morning smoothie!
Ingredients:
3-4 frozen cauliflower florets (if you’re not a fan, you can use 1 frozen banana)
1 cup of Cocobella Straight Up coconut water
1 ½ tbs espresso protein powder
1 tbs raw cacao powder
1 tsp maca powder
Recommended toppings:
Goji berries
Bee pollen
More raw cacao
Cinnamon granola mix
Cinnamon granola mix:
1 cup organic oats
1/4 cup shredded coconut
Sunflower seeds
Raw buckinis
Flaxseeds
1 tsp cinammon
¼ cup melted coconut oil
2 tbs rice malt syrup
Bake on 180 degrees for 15-20 mins
Method:
Simply blend all smoothie ingredients, and add toppings.
