It’s true, breakfast is the most important meal of the day! So get inspired and try these five healthy breakfasts:
1. Tropical Coconut and Mango Muesli
Ingredients
3 cups plain rolled oats
250ml Cocobella Mango Coconut Water
½ cup chia or linseed
1 cup dried mango slices, chopped
½ cup dried blueberries
½ cup pecans, roughly broken
¼ cup walnuts, roughly broken
¼ cup almonds
1 cup shredded coconut
Cocobella Coconut Yoghurt – any flavour
Method
In a large container, combine all dry ingredients. Mix well. Stir in Cocobella Mango Coconut Water. Refrigerate overnight and serve with a scoop of Cocobella Coconut Yoghurt.
2. Wake Me Up Chocolate Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients
1 banana; peeled, sliced and frozen
5 tbsp. plain rolled oats
¼ cup Cocobella Chocolate Coconut Water
4 medjool dates
2 tbs. shredded coconut
10 nuts of choice
½ punnet of blueberries
Method
Blend the frozen banana with 2 of the dates, oats and Cocobella Chocolate Coconut Water. Pour into a small bowl. Top with coconut, almonds, remaining dates and blueberries.
3. Sunrise Summer Smoothie
Ingredients
1 ripe mango, skin and seed removed
1/2 cup chopped pineapple
1 frozen banana
1/4 cup Cocobella Coconut Yoghurt, vanilla
3tbsp. shredded coconut
1 sprig of fresh mint
Method
Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until combined. Enjoy.
4. Healthy Coconut Spread with Banana and Chia on Toast
Ingredients
1 slice wholegrain bread, toasted
1 banana, peeled and sliced
1 tbsp. chia seeds
1 tbsp. shredded coconut
1 tsp. honey
For Coconut spread:
1 tbsp. Cocobella Straight Up coconut water
1 cup unsalted nuts of choice (e.g. cashews, walnuts, macadamias)
Method
Place nuts and coconut water in a high speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Spread Coconut Spread on to toast and top with slice banana and sprinkle with chia, coconut and honey.
5. Creamy Vanilla Bean and Coconut Porridge
Ingredients
½ cup plain rolled oats
¼ cup milk of choice
5 tbsp. Cocobella Straight Up coconut water
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tbsp. shredded coconut
Method
Cook plain rolled oats in milk and coconut water. Add vanilla extract and stir. Pour into a bowl and top with coconut and fruit of your choice.
